2. What Data We Collect

• Account data: Email address and hashed password when you register.
• Scan data: URLs you submit for scanning. These are cached temporarily (1 hour) and stored if you save a site to your account.
• Usage data: Anonymous IP addresses for rate limiting (20 free scans per IP). Not stored permanently.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide broken link scanning and monitoring services.
• To send email notifications about broken links on your monitored sites.
• To manage your account and subscription.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on servers in Germany (Hetzner). Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA256. We use HTTPS/SSL encryption for all data transmission.

5. Third-Party Services

• PayPal: Subscription payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store payment card information.
• Mailtrap: Email notifications are sent via Mailtrap (transactional email service).

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

• Access: You can request a copy of your data.
• Rectification: You can update your email in account settings.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data.
• Objection: You can unsubscribe from emails at any time.

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account or 12 months after your last login. Scan results for registered users are kept for the duration of their subscription.

1. Service Description

SiteCheck (brokenlinkchecker.online) provides broken link scanning, uptime monitoring, SSL certificate checks, and website health analysis.

2. Free vs Paid Plans

• Free (no account): Up to 20 manual scans per IP address. No automated monitoring.
• Free Trial (with account): 15 days of unlimited automated monitoring. No payment required.
• Pro (€3/month): Continued unlimited monitoring after trial. Monthly subscription via PayPal.
• Promo: Users with a valid promo code receive unlimited access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the service to scan websites you do not own or have permission to scan, or to launch denial-of-service attacks.

4. Payment & Billing

Pro subscriptions are €3/month via PayPal. The first 15 days are free. You can cancel at any time through PayPal. No refunds for partial months.

5. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time via the dashboard.

6. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is". We are not responsible for damages resulting from use of the service. Scan results may contain errors and should be verified.
